Quan Ngo
Over the past 10 years, Chef Quan Ngo has cultivated his culinary skills with the focus on regional Vietnamese and Cantonese cuisine. His experience has spanned from private dining and catering to working at coveted fine-dining establishments within the Michelin Guide.
In 2017, Quan helped open up Di an Di with Chef Dennis Ngo, showcasing exciting Vietnamese fare in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Leading service and the kitchen team as sous chef, Quan was an integral part in research and development for seasonal menus. In 2021, Quan ventured to San Francisco to work at Mister Jiu’s, a one-starred Michelin restaurant under Chef Brandon Jew, where he honed his skills in modern Chinese cuisine in a fine-dining setting. Recently, he came back to New York City to host private dinner parties under the pop up, Family Meal, with the pursuit of offering dinners a glimpse of his childhood dishes and educating them on Vietnamese culture through food.
Chef Quan takes a modern approach to Asian-American cuisine, with a reference to cultural nuances. Within his menus, he tells the story of growing up as a Vietnamese/Chinese American from Queens, combining traditional flavors with Michelin technique. The goal of his menus are to have guests understand the perspective of a second-generation Asian American as well as being introduced to new Asian produce and flavors.
